No. Mahaven is independent, non-religious, and non-political. Men of all faiths and convictions sit in the same circle under a shared code: discretion, honor, and brotherhood.

Yes. What is said in the sanctuary stays in the sanctuary. Confidentiality is a written commitment every member accepts and the single non-negotiable of the brotherhood.

The member directory is private. Public materials never name a member without written consent. Anonymous features — like the Unspoken Room — are engineered so authorship cannot be traced, even by staff.

Membership begins with a private application. If there is alignment, you are invited to a conversation with the Mahaven team, and — if the fit is right — welcomed into the circle.

We look for character before credentials: integrity, discretion, and a genuine intent to give as much as receive. Titles and revenue matter less than the man behind them.

You will hear from us personally, typically within seven days. If the fit feels right on both sides, we invite you to a private conversation before extending an invitation.

Yes. Members may quietly refer one leader per year. Referrals go through the same private application process — no seat is guaranteed on introduction alone.

Yes. Members honor an annual commitment fee. It is not a subscription — it is a way of holding your seat present for the brotherhood, and holding the brotherhood present for you.

You may step away at any time. New members are also offered a ninety-day window to decide the room is right for them; if it is not, the commitment fee is returned in full.

Roughly two to four hours a month for the core rituals — one circle and one gathering. Retreats and one-to-one conversations are additional, at your pace.

Real ones. Leadership under pressure, marriage and fatherhood, wealth and its cost, faith, health, succession, and the questions most men are never allowed to ask out loud.

Both. Weekly circles are held privately online. Gatherings, dinners, and retreats take place in person — including our Kenyan retreats in the Maasai Mara, Laikipia, and Lamu.

Mahaven is peer-led, not coach-led. You will receive perspective from men who have stood where you are standing. For formal coaching, we can privately recommend trusted practitioners.
